Sexual harassment happens so often that the young people said it is very common.

 

Many female students said they had been pressured to send nude pictures (‘nudes’).

Sexist name-calling happens a lot to them or their friends.

Sexual harassment and online sexual abuse, such as students being sent explicit sexual material they hadn't asked for is much more common than adults realise

Recent research by Ofsted into sexual abuse and harassment in education found that: 

Some students see these harmful sexual behaviours as normal even though most are against the law.

These behaviours are completely unacceptable at Westminster Kingsway College.

If you experience any of these, you must speak to a member of staff or the WestKing Safeguarding Team.

Sexual violence is the term used to describe any kind of unwanted sexual act or activity, including:

  • rape,

  • sexual assault,

  • sexual abuse

  •  many others.

  • intimidated,

  • degraded

  • humiliated.
