19+ Bursary

The College provides financial support to assist with course related costs. This includes travel, equipment, and books.

 

The type of financial and the amount of support depends on your personal circumstances and is linked to your income. You will need to provide proof of income.

All bursary payments are made monthly and paid into bank accounts and are subject to at least 90% attendance records.

Eligibility

If you are single with an income of below £20,000 per year, or part of a family with a combined income of below £30,000 per year, you could be eligible for 19+ bursary.

Evidence

  • Recent payslips

  • Recent benefit letter showing evidence of Income Support, JSA, ESA, Working Child Tax Credits, Universal Credit or State Pension)

 

Advanced Learner Loan Bursary

You may be eligible for £200 bursary a month for course related costs and up £70 a day for childcare (children under five).

Eligibility

If you have an income of up to £21,952 (household income £26,000) a year and have been approved for Advanced Learner Loan by the college, you may be eligible for the Advanced Learner Loan Bursary

Evidence

  • Recent payslips

  • Recent benefit letter showing evidence of Income Support, JSA, ESA, Working Child Tax Credits, Universal Credit or State Pension)

  • A letter confirming eligibility for Advanced Learner Loan

 

20+ Child Care Support

 

The College provides financial assistance for childcare for students aged 20 or higher. Up to three children may be eligible for support. Eligibility is linked to your income.

Child Care support payments are made directly to the childcare provider, and payments are subject to you maintaining at least 90% attendance on your course.

Eligibility

You may be eligible for up to £50 a day per child (maximum of two children) for childcare if you are aged 20+ and an income of up to £21,952 (household income £26,000) a year.

  • Recent benefit letter showing evidence of Income Support, JSA, ESA, Working Child Tax Credits, Universal Credit or State Pension)

  • Birth certificate of the children you are claiming for
